Kristin Malek is an experience designer and bestselling author who explores the science of behavior change, motivation, and design.
Kristin Malek has nearly two decades of event design and hospitality management experience and has been recognized with over fifteen international, national, regional, and state awards for event design and innovation. Her particular area of event design is focused on designing behavior change. She focuses her efforts on designing behavior change experiences within higher education and teaching and training other event designers.

In addition to being a speaker, designer, and facilitator, Kristin is the co-author of the world's most widely used Introduction to the Event Industry textbook and is the author of the upcoming book, "Institutional Identity: Designing Change in Higher Education."
Kristin strives to connect with audiences through a multi-faceted programming approach to include workshops, masterminds, retreats, online teaching and training, and an audio podcast. Started in August 2020, her Extraordinary Events Podcast has been downloaded in over 450 cities in 49 countries on six continents and has been named a “Must Listen To” podcast for the Events Industry by Accelevents. She has presented over 80 invited keynote and breakout presentations in addition to countless research presentations.
Kristin received her PhD from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and her Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina.
